Last night at the time dh left for work, I was still wide awake. That was odd, cause normally I go to bed when he leaves. I don't always fall asleep immediately, but I'm usually getting tired. Last night I wasn't tired at all. So I laid down with a magazine and waited to get sleepy. Finished the magazine, still not sleepy. I figured I'd go ahead and lay down and maybe I'd get sleepy. After laying over there staring at the back of the futon for a while, I realized why I wasn't sleepy... I had forgotten to take my medicine. No medicine = no sleep. So at 1 am I got up and took my medicine, then laid down with another magazine to wait for it to kick in. Finally sometime after 2 I fell asleep, which was about 2 hours later than normal.
Despite the fact I lost 2 hours of sleep, I still drug myself to the community center to workout. Yay! I seriously considered using it as an excuse to bail on working out today, but I gave myself a pep talk that was something along the lines of "Get off your lazy butt and go!", and I did. I struggled a little to finish my workout today, but I think that's because today was my 3rd day in a row of working out, and to say my body is not used to that would be a vast understatement. Nevertheless, I did do my workout, and lived to tell the tale. Then I came home and got my reward, a nice cool shower.
Eating has been pretty good today. I haven't been as hungry as I was yesterday, which is nice. I had eggs, veggie sausage, toast and cherries for breakfast. Then lunch was pork chops, brown rice and veggies, with a salad. Dinner was a veggie burger and tomatoes, carrots, cauliflower and a yellow bell pepper with hummus. It hasn't been nearly as much of a struggle to not overeat today. In a little while I will have a snack of some sort. Probably a pear and some yogurt and almonds or something. I haven't decided yet.
Oh! Almost forgot! Down another pound this morning. I was super excited to see the scale dropping again. I'm at 260.4, so hopefully by this time next week I will be into the 250s. Being so close is very motivational. Even if it's 259.9, I'll take anything that's under 260!
Dh and I stayed home again today, but we did get a few things done. Checked grocery ads, made a menu and the grocery list. Then we cleaned out the fridge and cleaned up in the kitchen to get everything ready for the new load of groceries coming in tomorrow.
Tomorrow's plans are kind of up in the air at the moment. I may or may not go to the gym. It's closed on Friday, so tomorrow will be my last chance for the week. Usually I take Thursdays off cause it's grocery day, but if I'm not too tired in the morning, I might go ahead and go. I'm gonna wait and see how I'm feeling when I wake up. My body may be in need of a break tomorrow.
Then later it's dinner out and grocery shopping. I'm thinking Chipotle, since I can get a relatively healthy meal there. I'm weighing my options for healthy meals at various places and so far Chipotle sounds best. I think we're going to take it to the park and eat in the park, just to enjoy a little bit of nature. It's only supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow and quite nice. I'd like to take advantage of it.
For now, it's time to relax with a magazine. And in an hour, it will be time to take my pills. I bet I won't make the same mistake two nights in a row!
