End of Month Update

June has been a pretty good month.
I started a calorie tracking challenge at work and have been doing okay. Of course, the first week I did fabulous and then as each week has gone on I've been a little strict. This week I am getting refocused.

Yesterday we went to get some produce at a few places and this is what we got.

Summer squash, lettuce, leeks, blueberries, tomatoes, beets

The weekend was pretty quiet. We volunteered at the food pantry Saturday morning. We use to do it at least once a month but hadn't had time since last fall when my mother's situation worsened. It was great to get back and we are planning to do it once a month going forward.

We did some chores around the house, went for a walk, and spent some time relaxing by the pool. It was nice to get into a new routine. emoticon

    Great looking veggies! I always hated beets, but I've learned to like them in juices. I eat a third of a beet every day that way. How do you fix them?

That's so nice that you volunter at the food pantry. I'm glad your life is getting back to is mine.
