So last week I started a crazy workout plan. Well, crazy for me. Here's a recap of what I did:
Sunday, June 22 - walked 5 miles
Monday, June 23 - Rookie Runner 5K Training Program, Week 3, Day 1
Tuesday, June 24 - Bike 10 miles, Arms workout
Wednesday, June 25 - Rookie Runner 5K Training Program, Week 3, Day 2
Thursday, June 26 - Swim 1 mile, Legs workout
Friday, June 27 - Rookie Runner 5K Training Program, Week 3, Day 3
Saturday, June 28 - Bike 10 miles, Core Workout
Sunday, June 29 - Walk 5.1 miles
In addition, I did a 1:30 plank every day, except today when I increased to 1:35. I also taught my regular summer load of Pilates and dance classes.
So, how did it go? It went great! The running started off rather difficult, but got easier as the week went on. The swim day, I thought I was going to have to stop, but pushed through it and felt good enough to sprint at the end. The bike on the first day was a little rough, but the second day was better. So I'm feeling pretty fit. On the downside though, I weighed in yesterday and I had gained 3 pounds in a week. What's puzzling to me is that I didn't change my eating habits. So maybe I'm not getting enough calories? But my tracker says I'm still eating at the bottom of my range most days.
All in all, it was a good week. It's nice to feel fit, even if the scale is going in the wrong direction.
