Healthy & inexpensive way to flavor drinking water!

Over the last few years, I have shared this idea numerous times here at SP.
Each summer, as our days. in the shadow of the Rockies, grow increasingly warmer, I use this idea more & more. I believe it to be something that others might like to try.
A good 99% of the time, I like to drink water plain --- straight from the tap. However, I enjoy adding a bit of a twist when drinking iced water. By simply adding one or two herbal teabags (the choices seem limitless) to a gallon of water, I am able to enjoy flavored water at very little expense. Once served over ice - the melting ice cubes dilute the drink leaving just a hint of flavoring.
I find drinking flavored water made this way to be refreshing without the "iffy" quality, &/or the expense, of pre-flavored water or other water flavorings.

I like to set a pitcher of water out in the sun with a couple of herbal tea bags or plain tea bags in it. Sometimes I add sliced lemons or limes to it as well. As the sun warms it, the flavor developes. When it has flavoured to how I want it, then I place it in the fridge to get cold. yum 729 days ago
I learned to drink water by putting a lemon in it. I've bought the flavored waters, the powders to flavor the water, etc. It can get expensive, and the tastes can be either really good or really bad. I like the idea of the herbal teas. Thanks. 733 days ago
