The Big Mess

Thursday, June 26, 2014

The other day, Hannah had a good time with her diaper cream. Instead of playing quietly in her room, she decided that she'd "paint." When her mother walked in and saw the mess, Hannah proudly said, "Look, Mommy, paint." She just left the room to cry. Then, she spent the next hour scrubbing the furniture. It reminded me of our relationship with God. God tells us in His Word to do or not do something, and instead of obeying God, we decide to do what we want to do. The results: a big mess. There are consequences to our disobedience, usually for us as well as others, but God is still always there, willing to clean up our mess by forgiving us of our sin. All we have to do is ask.

At least it was cleanable and not permanent, Our pastor's daughter did the same thing with red nail polish! They are so creative and curious at that age. Thank goodness te Lord forgives us when we get too creative!!

  Oh my -- oh my!
Gracious sakes, Hannah has artistic talent! If this cream is the sticky kind of Desitin, it is awful to clean up. When my babies were diaper age, I had a real calamity when a whole tube of sticky Desitin went through the clothes dryer! I opened the dryer door, and wow, the smell and the white "glue" on everything was a shocker for me!! That substance could not be washed out, no matter how I tried!
Remember, Ronda, that cream goes on the highest shelf--- LOL

Wow! Wish my one child had used the Desitin-- instead of what was in his diaper!!! Yuk, what a 'stinky' mess I had that day! One " I " will never forget!!! LOL! Excellent lesson for us though on forgiveness from Above! Thanks for sharing....
