Sometimes I amaze myself with how unaware I can be. Seriously.
We have a pool. I will admit I am addicted to floating on a raft and soaking up the rays. I use sunscreen but not as much as I should. Over the weekend, as I was floating around I decided to take a walk around the pool. I have done that in years past and where I don't feel like I get as much of a workout in the water as I do on land, it still is a good workout.
So on Monday, as I was walking again, I thought why couldn't I jog? So I jogged for about 30 minutes. Came in and searched spark and I found that i burned 481 calories! I was AMAZED. So I googled water jogging. I was SHOCKED at the number of articles there were on water jogging workouts for deep and shallow water, shoes, belts, etc.
This is the 6th summer we have had the pool but the first time I am looking at it as an exercise tool. I can't wait to workout everyday in it while working on my tan!!
