Trip Summary and Important Warning!

Tuesday, June 24, 2014

Ok back safe and sound. Mom got her MVI (motor vehicle inspection) and her MRI. I went out with my friend for a lovely lunch and next day we got to see Canada Rocks, live theatre at Confederation Centre. I got out swimming 3 times!!! I walked my mother's driveway once each day, yes it is short, but I did it. We walked and shopped everyday, very tiring... I visited my friend whose been vegetarian for about 50 years and had supper with her. Went garage sailing one day and got some beautiful jewelry and a cat carrier for Soleil. her and Buddy are still leary.

Went to a BBQ at my nephew's on my birthday. Went to my sis' in Halifax and she had a birthday cake, I very smartly turned the numbers on the candles around so I once again celebrated my Sweet Sixteen!!!

I read an audio book on our trip, talked too much with my niece, but she was my chauffeur, so the price I paid....Home again home again, tiggety tig....

Buddy was SOooooooooooo happy to see me. Even Soleil came and said Hi. Got all my stuff unpacked and put away.......wasn't as much as I thought cuz I took just the little hatchback area and I gave my niece the whole rest of the (teeny little car) to pack her stuff and the car was stuffed!!!!

Buddy was even happier to go for a walk this a.m... we went our 1.8 that we had been up to before I left, but I DID NOT feel SO exhausted when I got back!!!! When I was at the pool with sis yesterday, she was doing probably 10 laps for my 1!!!! Did I feel helpless!!! Oh yes, and we had a 2 lb lobster while in PEI, and teenburgers one day and then KFC another day, but the crowning glory of restaurant food was at John's Diner....world famous little place in Halifax. They serve a HEAPING plate of haddock tips, shrimp, scallops, and clams strips in the lightest batter ever, they dip them right there, and a nice big Caesar salad.... We were so stuffed even with sharing, that when we stopped 6 hrs. later for supper, we were still too full...

And now I'm back and did home ever look good. Aparently absence didnt' make the heart grow fonder... gained a few more pounds and it is seriously time to take control of this bull and rein it in.

Also, did anyone else see the new dangerous things people are doing... they put drano and water in a water/pop bottle and wrap it in tinfoil and leave it around in the sun. If you pick it up, and shake it at all, it will EXPLODE in your face... Pass on that warning..... I just did to a couple that walk and do pick up bottles....

I remember my step-son putting alka seltzer and water in a 2 liter bottle and shaking it up: same effect. The stuff kids think of to have "fun".

How did you manage to have Soleil not mad at you when you came home? My cats have always pouted for a couple days.

You got a break from the ho-hum routine and you're getting stronger again. Good!

After being in the hospital twice last week with Sherry and her due date passing yesterday, we are still waiting on Baby Z. My girls were born on their due dates. My parents waited on me. Of all the things for the baby to take after me, why the one where I'm always behind? Another ultrasound was done yesterday. Estimated weight is 7 1/2 pounds and there's a full head of hair. Re-confirms the old wives tale of having heartburn when carrying a baby with a head full of hair. Sherry did that to me.
