Work, pool, and pizza.

I worked this morning, cleaning a house. It's for this lovely, lovely family that I have cleaned for in the past. I had to stop because I'd graduated college and was offered the job where I currently work. I offered to clean for them again this summer, because I am DESPERATE for work, and they (very enthusiastically!) said yes. They said they've really missed me (aka, my cleaning, lol) and I was so happy to work there again. They're about 5ish years older than me. They have a little girl who is 7 and a little boy who just turned 5. They are so nice. Anyway, I worked over there this morning. I got there about 8:15 and worked until almost noon. Daughter had been away at the sleepover and they were all heading to the pool around 11. When I finally got done working, I went to the bank to deposit my check, and then came home to change. My elderly dog had pooped on the floor just a bit, so I cleaned that up. (Grr! I swear I'm going to choke her one day). I put my cleaning rags in the washer, changed into my bathing suit, grabbed some bottled waters from the pantry (SIL said they didn't have quite enough, and asked me to bring some), and I finally, FINALLY headed to the pool.
We went to the golf course pool. When I was walking into the pro-shop, I saw Daughter and one of my nieces standing by the door leading out to the pool and waving at me. When I got outside, I was ambushed by a bunch of girls but appreciated their soggy hugs. I jumped right in that water! OH, it felt so nice! I had been sweating for about 4 hours and was really ready to cool off. Louisa May Alcott said, "housekeeping ain't no joke," and she AIN'T kiddin'! We took a whole bunch of funny pictures, too; pictures that were taken mid-jump. It was a nice afternoon.
Around 1:00, everyone got out and had lunch. I'd just gotten there about 10 minutes before, so I just stayed in the pool. I wasn't hungry anyway. I treaded water, did a little light swimming. I wasn't swimming laps or anything, but I was moving through the water. It just felt so wonderful. I absolutely LOVE being in the water. I don't feel my weight at all. I can move exactly the way I did when I was a scrawny kid. It's almost like I'm not "fat" when I'm in the water. I just love it.
We just swam and splashed and had fun. It was so nice. Daughter and I left the pool at 3:00. I came home, took a shower, started a load of laundry, and started making pizza dough. Tonight I grilled two pizzas on Husband's new grill. I used this pizza grill set that we got him for Father's Day. I made two amazing pizzas! Honestly, they were the best pizzas I've ever made, and possibly the best I've ever had. I posted some pictures on Facebook and my friends were clamoring to find out what I did and how I did it. I shared a little info about mechanics, but I'm not giving away any secrets! ;)
We just watched a little TV tonight and ate some homemade pizza. Nothing too exciting. It was nice though, after such a packed day. My face and shoulders are a little sunburned, but I don't think it will end up being too bad. I did put sunscreen on, but I still got a bit crispy. I made Daughter go to bed around 7:30. She said she stayed up until 2:45am with her cousins. Geez! It would take me a week or more to recover from that. Oh, to be young again...
Husband and I got in bed and watched a little TV. I have been goofing off on my laptop and am getting ready to go to sleep. We're having some company over for a cookout tomorrow, and I'm very excited! We don't have people over very often. I'm looking forward to a nice, relaxing, and fun evening with friends.
Ok, here's today's run-down.
Breakfast: green tea with sugar-free French vanilla creamer and Truvia.
Lunch: lime La Croix.
Dinner: two slices of homemade pizza (one pepperoni-mushroom, one pepperoni-mushroom-green olive), wine, diet Coke.
Snacks: 3 big pretzels, cheese, sugar-free butterscotch pudding with sugar-free Cool Whip.
Activity: 3.5 hours of housekeeping, 1.5 hours of light swimming.
Today was a funny day. I was so busy, and just didn't have any kind of appetite at all until about 1:30 or 2. I'm not going to worry about it, because I never have days like this. Since I'm essentially back to the weight I was (less than half a pound away), I'm back on Phase 1.5. I'm just watching my carbs and sugars, and "learning to be normal." I'm feeling in control again with my food choices, and I haven't felt that way for a few weeks now. I think tomorrow morning I may even exercise when I get up! I just thought of doing the Wii Fit. I need to start working out again. No time like the present.
