Summer update 1

First full day of summer freedom! My workout buddy and I were right back where we left off, and it was great!

Ran 1.45 before SWEAT
SWEAT was all upper body today, nothing too crazy.
Then we swam!! Yep, back to the pool since I now have extra time in the AM:)
I really wish every day could be like this:)

Progress check:)
*Jump rope was part of our workout today: 50 jumps
I nailed 26 before the rope got tangled, on my first set. I pushed through and finished them, but on the second set I had to lose the rope. I could only manage 3. That was after a 400 meter sprint and 25 body builders (burpees with a push up). Those legs were done:)
*Rope climb was part of our workout yesterday. I was a little bummed about my ability with this, but I just know now to try every time just to see how much more I can do. There are two knots in the rope we climb. I usually latch on to one with my feet and try to inch myself up the rope, squeezing and pulling at the same time. I cannot master the loop over the sneak move. I got two pulls above the second knot. Not nearly as good as I thought it was going to be. Oh well, gotta keep trying:)
*Recipes. I have printed a few new ones to try:) I am excited for all the yummy summer produce:)
Time to relax before heading to the Y:)

    Rock star! What a terrific way to start your summer break! Like you, I wish every day could be like this!

This was our (super easy!) dinner on Monday. I added tomatoes since we have a garden full, and used a packaged box of roasted pepper quinoa. It was just as good heated up for left-overs this morning.
