We Fall Down..but We Get Up

Tuesday, June 17, 2014

I've been gone from SparkPeople for 4 years but I've returned...heavier than I've ever been in my life. I got up to 260 pounds. WTH! Over the last 11 weeks, I've been busy trying to take back my life and I've lost 10.6 pounds, so I'm at 249.4. I nearly cried when the scale dropped below 250. I'm in my 40s now and it's hard to lose this weight but it can and will be done. I don't really have a lot to say because I'm not going to talk about it, I'm going to be about it. I have a date with my gym after work today. I fell down and was embarrassed to come back to SparkPeople but not anymore. I'm still me and I know what I have to do. I can do this!!!!

The average successful person who breaks an addiction has tried THREE times before success! You'll do it in TWO! Good for you! I'm a 'come-back queen' myself. Sometimes life throws you curve balls and sends you back to start!

I've returned also. You can do it! I've come to realize that I need to make exercise a firm commitment in my life so I can enjoy the life left in my years.

Hey there! I have recently returned to SP after a bit of a hiatus myself, so I hear where you're coming from. We can't look back and contemplate the what if's - today is a new day, and a date with the gym is a great place to start emoticon emoticon !

Join the club sweetie.... you aren't the first and I'm sure you won't be the last of us that has been there (some times more than once)! You can do this... You will do this. Remember some of the successes you've have in the past and work on them again. Learn from the drawbacks/slip-ups/failure and move on. It's all a matter of perspective and attitiude. I look forward to joining you on your journey.
