As many know I'm prone to life's ups and downs. Many times I attract the downs like seagulls to French fries.

School is out and one of my children's big stresses is gone. The family got approved to move school districts and my children will be attending a much smaller, way more stable, and more disciplined school next year.

I was able to run my last half marathon while finishing 3rd of 5 in my age group. Currently I have plantar fasiitis and 2 cracked bones in my arm. So, yes, it was a long painful run on a course built like a 13 mile roller coaster, but I did it. 3/7 of the way for this long term goal.

Along the way I saw a saying on a garage- "If you stumble...make it part of the dance"

So that leads me to this- "I've just spent 13.1 miles dancing, and boy are my legs tired"

I even remembered some time splits, because I had all kinds of time out there.
4 miles- 34 minutes, 6 miles- 53 minutes, 8 miles- 71 minutes, 10 miles- 88 minutes, 13.1- 117 minutes. My wheels fell off, hit the wall, folded, whatever you want to call it around 11 miles.

Here are some other numbers for you. Vitals day before race and four hours after the race.
Pre race BP 107/71 pulse 41
Post race BP 84/54 pulse 53 emoticon

It's a good day. I'm feeling happy. Tomorrow is a day off. emoticon emoticon

Thank you to everyone who has sent me messages and kept me in their thoughts.

Sorry I'm so late in reading this one, but congrats on yet another fantastic effort and a big arms in the air for achieving yet another goal.

I'm really happy to hear about your kids' change to different schools and hope the move promotes inner peace for the family once they get into the groove.

Speaking of groove, groove on, Man. Dance like nobody's watching.

Holy rusty metal, Konrad! Great job on the race and congratulations on those BP and pulse numbers. Definitely goes to show that, even with your injuries, you're still in awesome shape.

Hopefully the summertime and your kids' eventual school district transfer will bring some continued, much-needed calm into your life. You deserve a bit of tranquility after everything you've been through lately.
