Need a bit of advice about phones......

Sunday, June 15, 2014

emoticon Hello all you clever people...

Maybe someone can help me with a query about mobile phones.

I have a really basic mobile phone that is years old and does not connect to the Internet. I really like some of the Spark People tracking apps, so I am considering joining the 21st century and upgrading my phone. emoticon This would be a big step for me as I like my current museum piece!

I have always resisted buying a new phone as I didn't think I would do much with it apart from make phone calls. I would love to hear from anyone who uses the Spark People apps. Are they easy to use? Do they work on all the modern smartphones? Do the trackers automatically update the online trackers or are they completely unconnected?

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Do it, do it, do it. Its one of those things like so many others that looks like a terrifying leap into the unknown but is really just a step off the pavement.

Yes, it will be difficult for a week or so... you won't be able to remember how to answer a call... there are five different ways of doing the same thing... and you will wonder why on earth you ever thought this was a good idea. Then suddenly it just falls into place and you will wonder how you ever managed without it.

I've got the Spark People app and it works really well... It's a condensed version of the site, all your points and minutes and foods are tracked and synchronised with the main site, all your personal settings are there, along with your favourite activities and your listed foods, and it's with you wherever you go.

One word of warning... You can come to rely on it too much, so if you lost it life might be a bit difficult, so make sure you have back-up for your information... because we don't have phone books with people's numbers in any more! And have more than one charger, so you don't run out of battery...

But do it... take the leap!
Let me know how you get on.
Liz

I have a phone that I am trying to learn how to use. I'm afraid you have to ask the young ones. My grand daughter knows more about them and she's 8. LOL
