Streaking - Update on Goals etc.

Today is Day 5 of my tracking everything and being in range.

I started the calorie tracking on Monday and have been doing emoticon
If anything I need to eat more. I am being so careful with calories/tracking that by the end of the day I have lot of calories left. A couple of the days I ate the same breakfast and lunch (boring I know) but they were both low cal so I had a lot of calories left over.
If you have any healthy snacks that you'd recommend, post them here. Tonight I had chickpea salad with sesame crackers and hard cheese to meet my calories (after dinner).

Today was the first day this week that I did any substantial exercising. I did something to my back and it started hurting last week so I've mostly been walking and Walk it Out-ing (wii). Today I did some low impact aerobics and a little kickboxing and weights. I used light weights so as not to strain my back. I did start PT on Tuesday. My back problems are mostly skeletal so once I get adjusted I usually feel better. Anyway.........

Work is not fun so I try to forget that I am there (in the office) when I have to go in. Mostly I stay at my desk, go to the gym, and then go home. Let's just say that the majority of the people in my group need to grow up and I just don't want to listen to their whining etc.

As far as my goals for June:

Strength Training: one session with trainer
two sessions at home
emoticon Not doing great with this one because of my back


Cardio: 30 minutes a day, get 10K steps at least.
emoticon Doing great with this. Have gotten more than 30 mins each day and over my steps every day.

Well-being: Spend 10 minutes a day (at least) doing something for me: reading, gardening, playing with the kitties.
emoticon I think I did enough gardening last Sunday to meet my goal for the month. Also enjoying time with the kitties. They are so much fun to watch and play with.
Even found a way to get in more steps while playing with them so that's a win-win.

    Great job on the tracking! Snacking on nuts is good calories and protein. I love them. Hope your back is all better now.
emoticon so much for helping me to get work in perspective. I am ready to roll off this assignment. I suppose I am quite lucky in a way to do so with my line of work (consulting). Sounds like you manage your situation perfectly by not getting dragged in.

    I'm sorry to hear about your back. I hope the PT/adjustment gets it feeling much better soon.

Sorry to hear your back had been causing you trouble and I hope it is completely better soon.

Way to go on getting back to nutrition tracking! Me too. I've got a couple really good days under my belt and working at pre-planning too.

I don't think I have any different snack suggestions. Mine are pretty boring: on a popcorn and watermelon kick right now. I was low on calories today too so I opted for a glass of red wine. Does that count as a healthy snack? LOL
