Busy weekend ahead!

Friday, June 13, 2014

Lots going on this weekend, so had to get started on the normal weekend chores ahead of schedule (cleaning, groceries, etc). Right out of the box tomorrow (Saturday) morning, we are taking my in-laws up to catch a bus in Wilmington, DE for their cruise to Bermuda (leaving the house at 07:30), so that means a Saturday alarm, early walking and feeding of the dogs, and NO smoked salmon for breakfast (our normal Saturday breakfast constitutional!), but we decided we'll hit one our favorite diners (Arner's, for those of you who know DE) for breakfast. Already started the cleaning process last evening (Thursday), and will finish it up tonight after work before doing one our favorite take-out dinners (Restaurant 55 for those of you from Kent County, DE). We both get one of their great salads, but we also get an order of their home cooked potato chips -- one of our guilty pleasures -- but so worth it!!

My son and his fiance are coming down Saturday afternoon, and my youngest daughter will be coming too, but she working on a wedding cake for a friend (oh to be talented!), so her arrival time is not quite set yet. Doing dinner out Saturday evening at my favorite Italian restaurant (Vincenzo's) to celebrate Father's Day. All are spending the night here, so that'll be nice.

My oldest daughter is working this weekend (she is a nurse), so we'll have to plan a separate Father's Day event with her and my son in law.

So yes, a busy weekend, but thankful to have a chance to spend quality time with my family!

I liked your plan. Actually, quite encouraging to me. I still do not feel real comfortable eating out. I am making plans to do a better job at eating regular meals.
I'd like to set a physical goal.

Oh, and I forgot to add I have my long training run tomorrow -- 6 miles -- as I prepare for my next 10K in July!
