Back on track

Seriously, this weekend has been crazy. I knew that my paternal part of the family would be exhausting, since they are so different than me. They are conservative farmer folk, and I'm a very not conservative nerdy thing. I didn't expect my dad to be the most judging, though. He didn't like that I had quit my job, especially since it was because of depression, which he doesn't seem to count as a reason to do anything, since it's a made-up illness.

But it's okay. I'm home now. And I'm starting my new job tomorrow.

I haven't done anything health-wise this weekend. I've eaten crappy, unhealthy food, and not moved a lot. My feet actually needed the three days of rest, since I've overdone the walking thing a bit. My feet hurt so bad on Friday, I could barely walk. Feet are all better now, though, so I'll keep on walking, but maybe not seven kilometers in sandals. I own these really expensive Joya shoes which I should use instead. They're made for walking all day on concrete without getting painful feet, and they work.

What I'm saying is that even though I fell off the track for a bit this weekend, I'm not gonna let it stop me. I'm gonna get my butt back on the exercise / eating healthy track. And today I did a really good job.
