Interruptions annoy me. Whether it's a commercial during my favorite show, a kid butting into a conversation, or my husband randomly telling me to put my shoes on so we can go somewhere... I hate it.

For some reason, with my husband, I always end up doing whatever it is he has planned. It's almost always an interruption to my day, though.

This morning I had homework to do. I have two papers due on Sunday, plus all my usual reading and message board posts to do. I wanted to get the one paper roughed out today. So I got up and refused to check any of my online stuff. The only tabs I had open were related to school.

I got pretty far into the paper (about 3 of the 7 pages) and had hit a stride. I knew what I wanted to write, what things I needed to look up, and knew I could get it done.

Then he pops his head in and says to put my shoes on so we can "go." Go where? "Just go." Grrr. I told him unless there was food involved I wasn't going anywhere.

In the end I went. We got our truck registered and I got sent into the store to fax something (the joy). Then instead of getting something to eat :( we turned off the road at this creek that has a trail head. We'd been wanting to go there since we moved to the area almost four years ago.

So we took a hike in the woods. It was a maintained path, but it was freaking uphill for like 2/3 of a mile. Which I raced my 3yo up most of it until my legs were jello and I couldn't move any more. I wish I could have that energy.

So I guess our 2+ mile hike made up for the lack of food in this outing. He even cooked me up a black bean burger when we got home so I could go sit down.

Still, the interruption screwed up my writing rhythm. I must now turn off all social networking and get back to writing. So far it hasn't gone well (been back over an hour now).

Please, no one interrupt me!!!!

I can't stand when my family interrupts my homework either. I take all of my classes online, which means all of my homework is done at home too. There are six of us crammed in a small house, always an interruption no matter how obvious it is that I'm working on homework, even from the so-called adults in the house lol. Hope things get better and you can hit your stride again, I know it can be tough to grasp it again once you're interrupted.
