Yesterday's Run

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

Two of my friends wanted to run at 5:15 pm yesterday, definitely the heat of the day. I saw a sign on the way that said 97 degrees. I knew it was hot, but I felt like running. I even ran ahead and filled up all three of our water bottles up the hill at the college. Took me a while to catch back up to them and they were only walking. I do want to run more in the mornings, but I'm glad I can take the heat if I need to!!

You are wise to be proactive and fill those water bottles! Glad you can hold your own in the heat.

I live in Florida, but am not a native. I do exercise outdoors in the heat. But i do feel overheated quickly. Take care!

Glad you can handle the heat. I was just working in the yard for about 30 min yesterday and got overheated. Thought I was going to pass out. Be careful out there in this heat.

That is amazing you can take such heat! Fit and already acclimatized to such extreme heat (and no doubt humidity as well)! You are a Superstar!!

Whew! I've started doing my runs in the morning for that reason, even though I'm so not a morning person. I'm a FL native, so I can take the heat and humidity, but it kills my speed. If I have to run in the evenings, I try to wait until after the rains.
