Damage Assessment Day

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

So much happened in the past 4 weeks that I deliberately avoided the scale. I could see from entering food that I was exceeding my daily quota by about 200 - 300 calories each day.

Part was getting a kitchen set up to cook; part was not finding a pilates studio to replace my favorite one; part was stress eating Trader Joe's Fruit Frenzy bars.

Today was the day and I was relieved to see that the scale only inched up a quarter pound but my arms are flabbier.

Back to routine and hoping I find a pilates place to exercise. The options for "fun" exercise seems to have become much narrower with older age. No more drop-in basketball; volleyball kills my wrists; hiking is painful. Pilates is perfect. Yoga is fine as long as there's more than downward dogs.
