I worked hard this weekend. We got some projects done, or mostly done anyway. I did exercise every day. I got to golf with my husband and brother in law. We all stink in case you're wondering. I didn't know I was going to be golfing so I did not have the appropriate foot wear. So I may have golfed bare footed, don't judge me! lol. Got to swim at the lake this weekend. I am determined to build up my stamina this year. I used to be able to swim laps like no ones business, but man I tire out easy doing that now. I have a marker that I swim out to. I went out and back 3 times with a significant break in between. After all, it's a lake not a pool so there's nothing to get ahold of if I get tired or get a cramp. I do not like doing the crawl, I much prefer freestyle, but that isn't happening in the lake because I need a line to follow so I don't end up in the (gasp) weeds!
Anyway.....went to a graduation party for my cousin this weekend. He told me that it was more like a family reunion. I said "It's not a family reunion until grandpa tells me how fat I am". I swear right on cue my Grandma comes in and says "you sure have blown up like a balloon since I saw you last". Officially a family reunion, lol. Frankly I don't care, they are judgemental nitwits and always will be. I know I'm making changes and I know that I've LOST 10 pounds since she "saw" me last.
On a side note, my Aunt try to sell me body wraps this weekend too. "Look at this picture of so and so, she lost 9 inches of belly fat in only 2 treatments and for just $25 a wrap! Amazing!". Here's the part she left out (it all comes back if you stop doing the wraps, and you have to buy saran wrap in bulk). I assure you, there is nothing that works better than good, old fashioned healthy diet and exercise. She's my dingy Aunt and so can be forgiven. I know she probably honestly thinks it does work, but I'm not bitin.
I have planned my healthy lunch for the week and am ready to go! How about you?
