i've had a desire to do a back to back marathon for many years I'd tried it in 2011 but was not successful. So had to get in better shape physically & mentally Anyway on Sunday completed Swan Lake marathon in Viborg, SD and accomplished my goal. While the marathon on Sat was run on concrete & asphalt, this was run mainly on unpaved/gravel roads The event has a full & a half There was a beautiful mist hovering around the lake in the early morning The birds were making a lot of noises - during the day the geese (that's what they looked like to me) cheered me on with their squawking while hovering around the watering holes. A herd of cows which included their calves rushed to the fence to cheer me (Not really - the cows starting running to an area of the pasture & I wondered what stirred them, it wasn't my speed). Along the route another cow bellowed "mooooove". Yes I suffer from hallucinations & insanity during these exploits I understand where the expression a 'country mile' comes from It's probably because I'm running slower, they seem longer
I was very pleased to have done this & finally achieved my goal.
