Changing my running schedule.

I been running 4-5 days per week for I was training for a half marathon, however that now it is over I am cutting back to 3 times per week. I read it some where that you should not run more than 3 times per week if you are over 70. I feel a bit guilty that I don't run as often as I used to so I ride my bike more often to compensate for it.
I would like to hear from some one the prose and cons of how many times per week on older person should run? Mean while I will be running 3 time per week about 25-30 km.
