I'm really struggling to focus lately. I haven't made progress losing weight and each weigh in just throws me off. I'm seriously thinking about not participating in any challenges once BLC25 is over. Are there any teams that have organized challenges that don't require weigh ins?
I have felt like I need to stop the weekly (and daily) weigh ins and try monthly weigh ins instead. Anyone else have better success when they stop obsessing over the scale?
My long term goal is to stop obsessing about weight loss altogether, or at least get to a point where I don't FEEL like I'm obsessing. How can one thing that consumes so much of my time be healthy? Am I alone in feeling like I'm missing out on life because this thing needs to get done first? I need to get off this crazy train and figure out how to strike a balance.

I am struggling with weigh ins too. I loose weight so slowly it's hard not to get discouraged. I try to ignore it and concentrate on all the right things I am doing and tell myself my weight loss will catch up. Good luck, you are toing fantastic!!

I still use my weight as a measure, but I don't obsess about it. With me it's more about clothes. If I feel good when I get dressed in the morning, I'm a happy woman.

There are teams with challenges that don't focus on the scale, though the only one I was really active on before the BLC was Corinthium, which is pretty much defunct now (still makes me sad, but I couldn't keep it going). I am hoping to get involved with the Harry Potter team (just started their summer Kamp challenge, but haven't really gotten that involved yet because of moving) but I don't know if that normally involves weigh ins or not--this is just the between round fun challenge.
I can sympathize with your feelings about the scale. I do best when I weigh in about once every other week/twice a month--that's frequent enough that I don't ignore the scale entirely, but not so often that I feel like it's running my life. Sadly, that doesn't work with the BLC so I weigh in now on their schedule.

My first challenges with SP were the ones that didn't involve current teams and all the check-ins, so they meant I really had to be motivated. And I was. I loved the Official 28 Day Bootcamp Workout Challenge and the Official Spring into Shape Bootcamp Challenge. I was pretty religious about doing the SP videos that needed to be done each day and I counted completion of each week as meeting a mini goal. It means truly being honest with yourself. But there weren't any weigh-ins or the continuous requirement to team chat. I did (and do) weigh in every Friday, and take measurements once a month. You do need to find balance. Now, on the other hand, you mention this being "time consuming" and "missing out on life." I think that being healthy means moving and eating right. Find the balance there. And think about what you are "missing out on." I feel like I am actually having more fun, being more active, and loving life now that I am up off the couch, walking, meeting new people and making eating healthy my priorities.
I truly hope you find the combination that works best for you! I've been here with you on this journey and love seeing you active and successful This work we do is all worth it.

There is sooo much more to your journey than that wicked ol' scale and frequently weighing in can really take away from that...
I weigh-in once every 2-3 weeks..and then the scale gets thrown back into my walk-in-closet. I don't even give it a second thought..

No weighing..and no stressing. They are just fun challenges to keep you accountable and you don't have to do both..I'm just doing the fitness challenge..you simply create a monthly fitness goal (total minutes) and then update your post with your daily fitness minutes that you have been logging..
They also have a separate chat thread *.~.*.Jumping June Bugs Chat Thread.*.~.* that you can chat with everyone who is participating in the challenges..
