Some Days Just Don't Start Well

Friday, June 06, 2014

I had a 7:55 doctor appointment this morning. It was hard getting up, but I made it there. I was told the doctor wasn't in; he was in the other office on Fridays. I didn't know there was another office; neither did the guy who walked in right behind me. Definite miscommunication.

So, I headed to Mom's to take her to her doctor appointment. I called and confirmed it before we left the house. We were there about 5 minutes when they called us up to the reception area. The insurance company had not changed Mom's primary care doctor, so she couldn't be seen. We had called and requested that 4 times and were standing there when the doctor's office called over a month ago. Miscommunication #2.

I am getting ready to call again. There better not be another miscommunication: three strikes and you're out.

I am so tired from so many miscommunications too. It is like no one thinks off the patient.

Hoping the day has gotten better.

Health care facilities and companies need more checks-and-balances.

I think doctor's offices are the worst. Mine is gone so much.
