Just a Quickie! (photo's)

Wednesday, June 04, 2014

At last, the house under construction has had the stucco applied. It looks so much better now, imagine how enticing it will be when it's cocoa brown with a dark brown trim, and the reddish-color tiles are in place! Even better when we finally get doors!!

And here is a bit closer, although I wonder looking at this if the front door will get all the attention it deserves. It will be bright red with an oval glass in it.

And to all of you who have been my friends for years, and also to my new friends, I took this recent photo just a couple of days ago. How I have aged -- the wrinkles only show up when I smile, so I guess I'm going to have to "quit smiling" for pix, starting right now! I finally LOOK like I'm 75 years old!

I guess the next photo's will be of the finished product (the house, not me) and it will probably be at least a month, maybe more!

Sweet Eve!!!! Don't you Dare ever stop smiling!! You have a beautiful smile!!! And guess what, you still don't look your age!! I think age is more a state of mind and you, my friend are younger than I in that way. (I'm 58 and feel over 100 some times!) hehe
The house is looking fine!! Finally, huh?! Yeah, don't know about how much anyone will see the front door till they get right up to it, but it sounds really pretty!! Maybe once it's all done, the door will stand out more!
Smile, sweetie!! We're coming down the home stretch to the completion of your house!! Then you and DH and Amber and Holly can spend some time there! (((HUGS))) and also to the rest of the family!

    Do not stop smiling!

This pic reminds me of a woman I knew. She was my neighbor. She had 11 children . lived in a small slightly extended ranch house. Always doing projects like painting and scraping the house or picking wild berries, apples, fruit in the old nearby but defunct monastery grounds to can. Hey! it was free and 11kids required FOOD! Lol. Despite the insanity of all that( as you can imagine!) She was always smiling. always! She had beautiful facial structure and a lovely smile, happy eyes!

I think you do too! It's called character and a life well lived!

Yay the house has stucco, and a roof, and now PAINT!!!!!!! OMG! in the end stretch now. When finished the door will command the attention you hoped it would. It's just that it's a black hole at the moment. LOL An actual door there VS said black hole with paint on it should make it pop for sure!

It's been a long time coming baby but it's going to be beautiful. Party time in the cranking a/c on that possibly unassembled, unmade coming soon!

Your home is going to look so lovely when it's all done. Wrinkles are nothing to be ashamed of and if you hadn't said your age I would not have thought 75, I am 5 years behind you, I'll be turning 71 in Dec. I'll have to keep a look out for your finished pictures. Hear in MI we have rain and are only in the low 60's today, but tomorrow is suppose to be back up in the 70's. It's so nice to have winter behind us, I though it was never going to end, lol.

You look great. I'd never have known you were 75 if you hadn't said so. I thought you were closer to my age (57).
The house will look terrific once finished. A lot of work has been poured into it. I hope you'll enjoy many years in it. emoticon

Dear Eve.... you have one of the loveliest smile....those aren't wrinkles they just add more character to your face... they are lines of love written by the maker... Praise the Lord.
Who said 75 is old ask me at 86 6 months away from turning 87......I still don't feel old until i get up and need help to stand, that's when my bones scream my age and remind me that I am a relic....but you are still a spring chicken dear girl.
Congratulations on the lovely house.... May the Lord Bless You and your family and the new home brings you Love and happiness.... emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Never stop smiling!! You have a beautiful smile and wrinkles make you "real" - they show that you smile a lot :))
Yeah, for the stucco being on. It will be so nice when it is all finished.
Lucky you were up in the mountains... it has been so hot these last few days. We hit 111F at Guaymas airport yesterday and we were at 102 at the coast with a warm northerly desert wind. Today the wind had turned south and we're back in the low 90's
