Oops I accidentally reset my goals (Fate?)Plus a progress pic

Wednesday, June 04, 2014

I recently hit 40 pounds lost which put me 2/3 of the way to my original goal of losing 60 pounds to reach 160 pounds. When I picked this goal it seemed like an acceptable weight which didn't put too much pressure on me to lose a lot of weight. Plus there was a "60" thing in that I wanted to do this by the end of August when I will be 60. When I got to 40 pounds lost I really thought about changing my goal, but then I thought, it doesn't matter I'll just leave it until I get there. ( even though in the back of my mind I was thinking I would be halfway to the new goal I had in mind). Well, anyway, as I was reviewing my weight chart I saw that my end date was wrong for my goal and I wanted to change that and whammy somehow I wound up having to change my goals. I decided to pick 145 pounds which is the highest weight of a normal BMI for me. Now that it is done, I feel really good about it. Because I'm into the lifestyle change thinking, I don't feel pressured to hurry up to get to a goal to " go off" of anything. Spark Coach awhile ago said to choose new goals to spice up your enthusiasm. 35 pounds is a lot, but it seems very much within reach. I like having a goal of being a normal BMI, too. So I'm off to the races to a normal BMI.

Your progress pictures are AMAZING!! Congratulations! I know you will be able to reach your next goals as well- You know you can do it! My goals are very similar- first -40 lbs. by the end of this year will get me out of Obese BMI and to the tippy-top of Overweight. Then next year -30 will get me a few lbs. under max Healthy BMI. I'm so stinkin' short that 127 is my max healthy. I'll be 65 when it's all said and done so your goal of getting there by 60 is fabulous. Your entire body will thank you for getting the job done and having another 40 years (at least) to enjoy life as a fit and trim woman. emoticon

emoticon i think that is a great goal .. i redid my first goal to like the same thing, the top part of 'normal' BMI .. then my original goal of 125 (i am like 5'3 1/2 so that is in the middle of the BMI chart for me .. but will settle for 135, which is still the higher end, but i am not young anymore so don't expect to weigh much less than 130 anymore) .. good luck .. you are doing an emoticon job .. keep up the great work .. emoticon on reaching your goals so far ..
