I recently hit 40 pounds lost which put me 2/3 of the way to my original goal of losing 60 pounds to reach 160 pounds. When I picked this goal it seemed like an acceptable weight which didn't put too much pressure on me to lose a lot of weight. Plus there was a "60" thing in that I wanted to do this by the end of August when I will be 60. When I got to 40 pounds lost I really thought about changing my goal, but then I thought, it doesn't matter I'll just leave it until I get there. ( even though in the back of my mind I was thinking I would be halfway to the new goal I had in mind). Well, anyway, as I was reviewing my weight chart I saw that my end date was wrong for my goal and I wanted to change that and whammy somehow I wound up having to change my goals. I decided to pick 145 pounds which is the highest weight of a normal BMI for me. Now that it is done, I feel really good about it. Because I'm into the lifestyle change thinking, I don't feel pressured to hurry up to get to a goal to " go off" of anything. Spark Coach awhile ago said to choose new goals to spice up your enthusiasm. 35 pounds is a lot, but it seems very much within reach. I like having a goal of being a normal BMI, too. So I'm off to the races to a normal BMI.
