Today I felt a little pressure to make the right decisions regarding food while I was at work since I hadn't gone food shopping and didn't have my lunch and snacks packed, and I think I did okay!
Breakfast was a shake, not very exciting
AM snack was a bunch of grapes that managed to get me through the morning, barely! Luckily I went to lunch early!
At lunch, I picked from the salad bar and was proud of myself for resisting ordering diced chicken fingers to top my salad. And yes, I tried to sprinkle my dressing all fancy just for the picture!
I had a small potato roll as well.
I may have made my salad a bit too small in fear of turning it into a calorie bomb because an hour after lunch, I was starving! So out of my desk drawer came the snacks - 2 kinds of potato chips, some pretzels and a bag of raisinettes...I read all the nutrition information and debated for a while if I wanted to risk a lot of sodium, a lot of sugar or a lot of fat- each option had something particularly nasty about it, but I eventually settled on the pretzels.
Dinner was a homemade chicken fajita on a giant tortilla- someday soon I will switch out tortillas for a piece of lettuce!
Already added my food tracking points for tomorrow, unfortunately dinner at Outback Steakhouse with a friend is going to put me a bit over my range, but I'm not too worried- I may be eating a lot tomorrow, but I'll be filling up on a lot of healthy things instead of junk, and I can tone it back down on Thursday.
