Life Changing Events

As I sit here and think of what's been going on in my life it totally affects my health. I've noticed I been an emotional eater. I gained more weight, etc...I had been caring through foster kinship my little cousin, she's 6. Next step is to adopt and of course the mother isn't happy. It's been a roller coaster and I sometimes feel alone, that's probably where my eating comes in. I recently came back to spark to voice my thoughts and work on my program to again a healthier me! I know I'm not the only one who goes through things but you feel alone...Our family has changed a lot.

Solutions? hum starting w/ 10 minutes of exercise again. start with healthier choices for lunch at work. And talk to others, develop a network that will help me with positive people...And log into spark everyday looking for positive articles :)

That's a start don't y think? Any other suggestions? Thank you in advance....

    You are doing the right thing in setting up a support group here on SP and at work. Adopting a 6 yr old is a big step, but beautiful and responsible if the child was needing a healthier home. KATEJM mentioned praying for guidance and I think this is key in all of life's changes and challenges. emoticon

    Monica, when all four parents of DH and me went into decline at the same time, there were many days when I prayed for guidance, so I at least wouldn't make matters worse! The payoff for me was that I learned that I had actually matured; I had actually learned some healthy coping strategies along the way. I also learned to forgive; I realized we had all screwed up at one time or another and grace is awesome! Know that you are not alone; many others have faced challenges and are there to support you.
