2 months back on, check in!

Monday, June 02, 2014

Hello everyone!

I figured it was time for me to do a check in. I started back up on 4/4/14 at 238lbs and my last weigh in I was 234.2lbs. Of course I do not hold everything into the scale number and as well if I really did I would be disappointed with those numbers. But I really am not! The first 3 weeks the scale actually kept moving up! I know it was just my body adjusting to changes/ holding water etc.! Actually my guy suggested I increase my water, which I did to 5-6 bottles of water a day, about 10-12 cups a day and that is when the scale started moving just recently! He said your body has to trust it'll get enough water to actually let go of the excess, I guess he was right! Either way, that's an addition to my goals, to keep up my water intake. So scale wise, about 4lbs, I'm not mad at it!!! Just finally glad to see the scale moving! And though just a small decrease I haven't been on the lower end of the 230's in a while. Very motivating to see the 220's on the horizon.

I have had several non scale victories. I have lost several inches over my body and managed to fit a ring that my fingers had gotten too big for. I then had one more ring I still couldn't get on BUT today I got it on! :) now that ring stopped on my first joint before! Lol Another non scale victory is my work scrubs have no longer been super tight. They actually are feeling comfortable again. I used to have to wear my jacket because my top would rise up and have my sides hanging out...I knew something was going to have to give because summer was coming and it was getting to hot to play it off!!! I also feel my confidence really building back up! And that feels really good.

Another great thing I've been able to do is avoid the junk at work! Usually at work we'll have different doughnuts 3 days a week and catered lunches with dessert pretty frequently. I have sat and ate my home lunch of a salad while my coworkers ate fried chicken and all the southern sides! I'm very proud of myself!

Well that's my recap for now. Just wanted to check in!

I like this because I think I need to increase my water as well!! My scale is moving slow but its moving and yet I know I can always do better in the water department.

I feel like you are living my life! I have slowly allowed my weight to creep back up since I got married last September and I am really trying to reign it in. As I read your blog, I glimpsed my water jug on my desk, still full from this morning, and I took a long, hard chug. Thanks for the inspiration!

Those are all amazing NS victories. The best thing about being self employed is no more office food pushers! It was out of control.
