Sometimes I DO Like My Scale

Friday, May 30, 2014

I've been reading a lot of blogs lately about this particular "relationship," and I sympathize. It can be a very frustrating one, no doubt.

Most of the time it doesn't accurately reflect the progress we're making on our journey. I agree with my sparkfriends who have blogged about this, that NSV's are a much better indicator of our successes. And the scale is usually not our friend!

And perhaps I do have an unusual relationship with my scale. But here's where I am with it. Decide for yourself, if I'm kooky or not!

When I started this journey, I was in the 240's. Didn't like the scale at all then! Still didn't like it when I started going down into the 230's, maybe not even in the 220's. But once I started seeing the two-teens, and now the two-oohhs, I kinda like looking at that scale a little more often. Right now, I'm at 205 . . . and I haven't seen that in well over 2 decades! And the closer I get to Onederland, the more often I want to keep stepping on that darn thing!!!

So sometimes, I guess, I do like my scale! emoticon emoticon

As the number gets smaller on the scale, the more love I have for it lol! You are right and not kooky at all :)
