I think I have mentioned it before...maybe a bazillion times now....well, that tracking my nutrition is one of the main secrets to getting things back on track and under control. And after 4 days, here I am again to shout out that truth to the world once again!
There is just something about getting back to things that "work".
And with that, and my grumpy mood yesterday, I got back to sweating by hitting a heavy bag in the basement. Part of it was to get the grumps out..the other part was to hit something...and the last part was to feel like I actually did another thing for ME. And it worked!
Another thing was that I had talked to a co-worker last week, just in passing - we had talked about sugar in drinks and how I really don't drink soda or iced tea - but water 95% of the time (coffee is the other 5%). I briefly just mentioned how our cells really can't function if they don't get the water that they need to flush things out. I must have gotten my glint of joy in my eye and manner because health coaching came up... and he commented how I perked up and became more animated.
Well...this week....guess who came up and told me he cut out the sugary drinks? My coworker. Guess who said that he felt a ton better...lighter even? My coworker. Guess who even looked a bit thinner and more glowing? My coworker. Weird...but true.
Kinda made my Monday.
One little step at a time.
One little fix in the universe for one person at a time.
He probably forgot our conversation already...but hopefully he will remember what it feels like to feel good and continue it further on his own.
Well...not really on his own, because I will ask how he is doing in the future...because it's nice to have someone care...and honestly, sometimes, that is all that anyone needs.
