Major Life Changes

It has been awhile since I have been here. I have gained 8 pounds and need to get myself turned around now! On May1st my coworkers and I were told our office which has about 350 people in it, will be closed by December 31st. WOW! I have been employed and worked in that office since March of 1977, 37 plus years. The good thing is that I will still have a job. The huge adjustment will be setting up an office in my home, in Wisconsin, in my and my husband's house. That means that I will be about 2 hours away from my home town and my daughters and grand kids. I can deal with that, but am having a very difficult time coming to grips with no longer being able to do all of the volunteering that I have done these past many years. There are local not-for-profits that are near and dear to my heart. Guess I'm surprised that I haven't gained more than 8 pounds. I vow that I will start tracking all of my food again and will try to overcome the stress eating that I have been doing. Please, if anyone has any suggestions, let me know. This is going to be a very difficult time of transition for me.

    I have to be honest and I'm not completely clear what's happening with your present job. So, the office where you've worked for many years is closing but why does that mean you'll then be working out of your house and away from your DDs and GC? Do you just rent an office there? I assumed you worked for a certain company there. The Lady above had a good idea and maybe you could so some phone calling for the Charities you love. Stress and being tired always make me overeat. Exercising and mediating does help us relieve some stress. Having healthy snacks and no Junk food in my house really helps me as I don't have any willpower when it comes to almost anything sweet or salty readily available. I'll say a prayer of comfort & guidance for you. Take one day at a time and maybe start a food Journal so you'll get a better gripe on your trigger foods & emotional eating. . .I sure hope things go better for you.

    I am sorry for all the changes. It is alot to take in. Can you do some phone volunteer work or knit for premies. I volunterr at our locla communtiy house and i love it.
