Such a lovely weekend

Monday, May 19, 2014

The weather here in my corner of England has been beautiful this weekend.
I spent one afternoon in the garden of a sculptor friend of mine who has his house open at weekends this month in the ‘Open Houses’ event when the many local artist open their houses and display their wares.
His garden is very interesting with leafy nooks and crannies

Pretty places to sit

And various nteresting corners with his sculptures on display

There have been a couple of great evenings spent by sea in the evening sun – one of them with a lovely barbecue of fresh fish and salads.
I love the sea in the evenings – so calm and peaceful with the last of the sun reflected in it.

Altogether a wonderful and peaceful time in the sun.

Wonderful Sonia, I love your friends choice of sculptures. I'd like to litter my garden with a few too but I said I'd get used to this garden for a year before making any plant purchases or deciding on any changes- and I'll stick to that..........but ideas are forming emoticon

So glad you had such a great time- after recent times you so deserve some peaceful-fun-laid-back enjoyment emoticon emoticon
