I didn't get in any noticeable exercise yesterday as I was trying my best to get some storage cabinets put together. True, buying things unassembled may cost less (because you can order from the Internet) but putting them together is not my cup of tea. Not my forte either! So far I have latches on the doors and the little things they click into on the shelves, handles on the doors, and some type of funny looking little brackets that do God knows what.
Found out that to get the handles on takes Herculean strength, which I no longer possess. However, by taking the screw and starting it on the handle (without the door between them) I found I can unscrew it, put it on the door, and then proceed to screw it together much easier. I'm pretty smart, huh?
But even though I give myself credit for eating according to plan yesterday, I did not get in any noticeable exercise. Standing in the kitchen stomping my feet in frustration evidently uses very little calories! So my weight went UP by nearly a pound this morning -- adding to the cabinet frustration!!
I solved that by getting up extra early and going for a walk. Even in Phoenix the day has not grown hot yet between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m. Glory Be! Walked 2 miles, so tomorrow I think the scale will be smiling, or at least I will be.
And just to put a smile on your face, I saw this cute little thing in an email I was reading -- of course we'd have to change the 2013 to 2014 to make sense, but here it is
And..... I wonder if Amber (my dog) would mind if I changed her name to "5 Miles" because that way I could say "I walked my dog 5 Miles" have to leave the comma out of course -- to make sense. But how many people do you know who punctuate correctly anymore, or even spell right?
