Yesterday was just a bummer day!
It was raining -- hard -- when I woke up at 4:00, so I thought I would just stay in bed that extra half hour instead of going for a walk. But I have that Spark Activity Tracker and it makes me so competitive, so I got up to go for my walk. I want those steps!
Came downstairs and looked in the kitchen -- dishes were not done. Ugh! Washed but not dried and put away. Looked over at the stove, and there sat last night's leftovers -- which was supposed to be my lunch -- still out and not even covered! ARG!
Put on my gear and went out the door. It was pouring rain! It's okay, I have my rain poncho on so all is good! I will clean the kitchen up when I get back, and maybe I won't make his lunch to just to prove a point. It was kind of nice walking out in the rain. I was at the end of the sidewalk almost, about 2 miles from home, when I look down because I felt something bounce off my foot. No Tracker!!! NOOOOOOOOO! It's dark, and wet, and the sidewalk is bordered by long field grass. ARRRRGGGHHHHH! I looked for a good 10 minutes, almost panicking because the Tracker is so small and matte so it won't even shine from a street light. No luck! Time to go home or my whole schedule will be thrown off. Believe it or not, I started to cry. It had been a lousy morning! Now I have lost my $80 tracker!
All the way home, I was checking out every clod of dirt and pavement, crying and wondering how fast I could get another tracker. About half a mile from the house, I checked a piece of pavement and it turned out to be my tracker! I found it! I held on to that thing so tight, I was scared I might break it, but I wasn't going to lose it again!!!!
I have only had my tracker for a little better than a week, but it inspires me to keep moving. I have this competitive nature, and I like to see it light up.
The rest of the day was not stellar, but I felt much better.
