After a few days of not eating 100% clean, I started the day off with the thought process "you know what, I'll go get mcdonalds today maybe tomorrow and sunday. If I do this I'll start off on the diet plan again on Monday."...
Screw that mentality. Something I've learned recently is that when have these thoughts, the things you are contemplating are the things in your life that you really really want... But you don't want REALLY REALLY want it. It's more of a "oh that would be nice" type of deal. When this happens you have to take a hard look at yourself and remember your goals, whether they revolve around lifestyle, social life, your career, and anything else and remember that if you want to change something, DON'T put it off. In that moment do something that will immediately bring you one step closer to your goal and don't look back.
I used this, what I like to call "phase shift" mentality, to switch gears in my head from that "oh that would be nice" to "this is my goal and I will attain it" type of thought process. Using this method today I decided to kill two birds with one stone and get some reading in and workout, so I read while doing the stationary bike for over 2 hours.
Damn did it feel good.
No matter where you are in life, remember that there are times where you can't just put things off because it will happen again and again. Take charge of the moment and direct yourself back on the right track.
