Don't watch Biggest Loser!

Thursday, May 15, 2014

There are many, many reasons I don't watch The Biggest Loser on TV. One is that I don't like being told I'm disgusting because I'm fat, which is what the show does. Here are some more great reasons, from someone who knows: www.cracked.com/article_

    I don't watch it either.

Most have heard my complaint ......

forget the competitions --- show healthy tips --- exercises and foods --- and see who is the biggest loser --- without the immunities ..... eliminations and votes!

Yeah I have seriously lost respect for the show since Rachel came out looking like a skeleton last season. Thank goodness she has put some weight back on, but the fact that she won by going to an UNHEALTHY weight should not happen. That is rewarded?? Terrible.

About the only positive thing I can see coming out of this show is an increased awareness of the health consequences of bing obese and the fact that these problems CAN be reversed through diet and exercise. Too bad they could not do this over a reasonable time, at a safe weight loss rate. I guess that would not make ratings.

    Should be called non-reality shows.

No excuse for treating people so badly just for money.
Other thing is the contestants stayed in it for the money, too.
The world is mean spirited to anyone different to the norm.
What ever that is.

I just hope people are smart enough to NOT try that at home!

There's another interview the same contestant gave about the things they make them do on the ranch.. Things like dehydrating themselves, less then 1,000 calories in a day, etc etc. Due to that interview I vowed to never watch it again.

YES! I posted that article on my blog yesterday. It's amazing and kind of terrifying.
