In The Dark

Thursday, May 15, 2014

Quite literally, I've been in the dark for the past couple months. I have so much to share, but I'll just start with this darkness issue first. I haven't been getting any Spark notifications for ANYTHING for about 3 months now. If somebody comments on an update, fitness entry, leaves a comment on my page, or sends a goodie, I don't get notified. So, It's obvious that my laptop recognizes all Spark stuff as SPAM and doesn't allow it to get through. I am not a Computer wizard by any means so fixing this issue is feeling impossible to me. I have checked and re-checked my Spark settings to get notifications, and they never come through my email.....any ideas anyone?? Here's the sad part. Many of you may give me ideas, and I probably won't know what to do with emoticon OK....I'm ready for your ideas! THANK YOU! emoticon

    Hi Jane!
Hopefully you are getting some notifications through once more.
Good luck with the Race you are competing in, in a few weeks!

Jane, if your email is through Gmail, and you have accidentally (or purposefully) put a Spark notification into the Junk folder, then all notifications will go there until you tell Gmail that it's not SPAM. Just open one of them that is in the Junk folder and refile it to your Inbox. I think that fixed my problem when I did that. If you don't have Gmail, I don't know if other providers work the same way. Good luck!

Try turning off your notification settings, then turning them back on. No idea why, but sometimes it works! Good luck!

1)Spark says if you don't click the link in your email to get to the "whatever" that it will stop sending notifications. emoticon

2)Sheila says that even if you do click through the link to notifications that you still wont get notifications all the time, because that is just how the system works. emoticon

I have never received notification on a regular basis. really, you just have to go visit your page, groups, etc to stay up to date. its a chore sometimes! emoticon
