My walking partner bailed on me today. I was going to walk without her in the morning at first, then I realized I had to walk 2 miles anyway today. I considered doing both, but since my ankle was hurting yesterday, I decided against it. I also was meeting some friends at the mall, and was expecting that we'd do some walking. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.
We went to the mall, got dinner, and then chatted the whole time. I don't think any of us wanted to get up. But it was a great night. I got to relax and spend some quality time with a friend I don't see too often, and a friend I do see more.
We went to Panera for dinner, and I did really well. I had a cup of soup and half a sandwich. I did splurge on a danish (which was more calories than the whole rest of the meal!)
Then I got home, and hubby had dinner waiting for me.
But as I was a little peckish, and my calories for the last week have been about -300 or so lately, I decided to eat. It was good. Spaghetti with extra veggies in the sauce (YUM!) and corn. I had some yogurt for desert cause I was craving something sweet and the craving wouldn't be hushed.
I'm happy with the day. I walked a total of 3.25 miles today, and I came in about +400. Considering how often I've been under my low lately, I'm liking that number.
I've been getting set back a little on the clean eating journey. I'm not the one buying the food, so it's harder to make sure we have & eat more unprocessed foods.
I hope one of us finds work soon. It will also be great because then I won't feel guilty going over to Starbucks to escape the house. 7 people - even in a 5 bedroom house - is ALOT. and 4 of them prefer to have the TV on CONSTANTLY.
I will have music on as a background sometimes, but I rarely have tv on - unless I'm watching something on Netflix. So the constant background of TV is driving me crazy. I'm not sure WHY the TV is different from the music, but it really is. It's irritating, and I can only hide in my room for so long, especially with Nate. It doesn't help that 2 of their favorite shows seem to be "Jerry Springer" and "Maurey" two shows that I DETEST. No offense to anyone reading this who enjoys these, but I find them crass, rude, and just awful.
Maybe I could start going to the library to work. I'm not sure how the public library out here is set up; I've only been there once. But then I HAVE to leave Nate with my inlaws, cause he is not quiet enough (obviously) for a library.
I also really want to start taking Nate with me to exercise. My dad got me a bike trailer, and I need to wash it out so I can start using it. I hope Nate likes it!
