The most bizarre organic product on the market

Thursday, May 15, 2014

I think I have a handle on why people will choose organic.

They believe that organic is better for you. When science show that organic is not necessarily better from a nutritional stand point ...

... they will fall back on the safety issue. But even there, it may not necessarily be safer. Even organic foods may use pesticide, but they are less effective than the ones that non-organic farming uses, so a lot of times, they use more. On the pother hand pest control is often augmented by bird and other critters. Both organic and non- organic food have chemical residues and they both usually fall far below maximum allowable levels.

For me, I see the Organic Foods and what I see is overpriced and overripe. I swear, when the produce goes over they must just put it into the organic bin. And can you really trust a Produto de Colombia to actually be organic? Or are they just saying so?

But bottom line: "I don't want any poisons in my body."

So it was with great curiosity that I saw this:

Natural cigarettes made from 100% organic tobacco.

All the young hipsters are smoking these. And, well, by the maginary pasta monster in the sky (hipsters pretty much don't believe in God) I don't want to smoke any of those pesticide poisons, do I?

Hello? McFly? YOU'RE SMOKING A CIGARETTE. IT WILL CAUSE CANCER AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE!

I do agree with you on the organic produce being way over priced and over ripe! I've noticed that too. Organic tobacco? Geez, anything for a buck.

I can sort of understand organic milk even though I don't buy it, but not produce.

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. I difference between an organic cookie and a non-organic one? 6 inches, the 6 inches of brain matter between our ears. Junk is junk, irrespective of the marketing strategy.

Anything for the almighty dollar. It's all about profits, not health & safety.
