Day 135 of 10min of exercise per day

Thought I'd take a quick moment to prove I'm still here on Spark People. Today is day 135 of my exercise streak. It's a beautiful, sunny, although chilly day, so I think I'll go for a quick walk.

The school year is winding down, but busy as all get-out! Last week we had the fine arts awards, Cabaret. My two oldest boys got lots of recognition for their work in band, choir, and drama. My eighth grade daughter also got recognized. She's been working with the high school band for two years already. We also had the middle school concert. My eighth grader was sick that night, but we also have a sixth grad boy who is in band and choir. These sixth graders are highly motivated and already are great musicians. It's already fun to see them perform, but I really think they will "wow" us as they become high schoolers. Last night was the high school concert. Our music teachers are fantastic!!!! We've been watching these kids develop since sixth grade and these teachers have really developed their talents. It was a fantastic concert! My boys were in all kinds of mixed ensembles for choir, and Mary got to perform her flute duet. My second oldest has helped drum for the show choir, and they've come a long way too. The show choir started just a few years ago with about 10 girls and their costumes were matching T-shirts. Now they have about 10 girls and 10 boys, a drummer, and costumes. What motivation to get up extra early a few times a week to practice!

Soccer season is winding down. I didn't get to see the games last weekend since I was working. Stevie (12) scored 4 goals in a tight game. I think they won! Sean's team won, 14-0 and it sounds like Bridget also had a good game. I'm really looking forward to this weeks games. I get to watch again!

I've stopped daily weigh-ins and have moved to weekly now. I've been off the HCG for 54 days. My weight this morning was 132 lbs, so I've successfully maintained. Last week, I did a lot of cardio workouts: jogging, walking, swimming. I totally ignored weights, so this week I'm getting back to weights. Also, I have a lot of work shifts, and my weight routines take about 10-15 minutes. I've done weights the last two days, but I think the sun is calling me for a walk today. I'm also resting my knees. They didn't handle all that jogging too well last week. I've got to keep my jogging miles down a bit.

Well, that's a quick update. Keep on sparking!
