Well well . .

. . . what a surprise! I’ve been discussing yoga with a Spark friend over the last few weeks – can’t remember quite how long but during that time I’ve also been researching on the internet and on Spark. Via the yoga research I’ve learned a lot – Yoga isn’t new to me but I’d pretty well given up on exercise – strength that is - and I’d forgotten how well it used to suit me. There is also a lot of related meditation music on the net which has also reminded me that I was a calmer person when I did both of these things. emoticon
This time it started with the recommendation of bed yoga to get my body generally in a mood to start the day. In its turn this led to a greater inclination to follow it with some strength – my 70 year old muscles certainly need some strengthening! emoticon Wonder of wonders – I found myself enjoying it. So many Sparkers have advised me to ‘find something I enjoy’ but I thought it was impossible. Not so, apparently. emoticon

I got over-ambitious today – chose a yoga video listed for the tracker here – a BASIC yoga workout it said – but I had to give up halfway through emoticon However I did find it enjoyable and I’m going to keep going at it until I can do it reasonably well. Today I was certainly pleased no one was around with a camera but I’ll be plugging away till I get it.

emoticon emoticon emoticon Well - maybe!

Glad that you found something that you enjoy. I YouTubed "sparkpeople yoga coach nicole" and surprisingly didn't see any routines. I guess she's a pilates person. i dunno.

    Best of fortune to you!

I s'pect Suz was the bed yoga expert? What an inspiration she is and I'm glad you've found something you enjoy. Remember to change it around and keep that feeling and motivation forefront.
The beauty of exercising alone is you can stumble and improve in private emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
