. . . what a surprise! I’ve been discussing yoga with a Spark friend over the last few weeks – can’t remember quite how long but during that time I’ve also been researching on the internet and on Spark. Via the yoga research I’ve learned a lot – Yoga isn’t new to me but I’d pretty well given up on exercise – strength that is - and I’d forgotten how well it used to suit me. There is also a lot of related meditation music on the net which has also reminded me that I was a calmer person when I did both of these things.
This time it started with the recommendation of bed yoga to get my body generally in a mood to start the day. In its turn this led to a greater inclination to follow it with some strength – my 70 year old muscles certainly need some strengthening!
Wonder of wonders – I found myself enjoying it. So many Sparkers have advised me to ‘find something I enjoy’ but I thought it was impossible. Not so, apparently.
I got over-ambitious today – chose a yoga video listed for the tracker here – a BASIC yoga workout it said – but I had to give up halfway through
However I did find it enjoyable and I’m going to keep going at it until I can do it reasonably well. Today I was certainly pleased no one was around with a camera but I’ll be plugging away till I get it.
Well - maybe!
