Day 962... A wet, warm one

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

It poured this morning, causing flooding in low lying areas and people's basements. There was even an evacuation notice for a nearby village that sits along a creek. Of course with the rain the humidity went up. It was a hot and sticky day, and I enjoyed it immensely. I didn't go for a run, though. 85 degrees, with high humidity is a touch much for me. Cooper really didn't like it. I ended up carrying him for part of our morning walk, we had a very, very short afternoon walk, and only a slightly longer evening walk. Now he is sacked out in front of the fan.

Making arrangements to go away for the weekend. I might miss a few days of blogging. It will feel weird, but it is good practice for my trip this summer. I get in the habit of doing something and it is hard to set that habit aside, even to go have fun. I danced around my apartment some this afternoon, and the visiting nurse came this afternoon, so that was most of the afternoon's activity. I have a Dr appointment coming up soon. I will talk to him about my trip, and prescriptions and blood work. Hopefully my blood work will be fine before we leave, so waiting a month to get it done again won't be an issue.

It is supposed to get cooler overnight, possibly down in the 50s by tomorrow afternoon. Cooper won't mind, but I enjoyed the heat today.
