I haven't been to the y this month. I have been opting to walk outdoors, or on my treadmill, and do workout videos and some kettlebell work at home.
I am paying for a Y membership I haven't used.
It's easier to work out at home. It's quicker to work out at home. It's nicer to walk outdoors (most days). It frees up time to do other things at home (like watch tv). My workout buddy cancelled her membership because she has been ill. I feel intimidated by those healthy, fit people. I don't like the way I look in my workout clothes. I have fat rolls. I sweat - ALOT!
Hmmmmm. So yesterday I said "I will go to the Y tomorrow..." Today IS tomorrow. I don't wanna!
A little self talk..... "Suck it up and go Barb". You will feel good after - you ALWAYS do. You will work harder - you ALWAYS do. It will move you in the direction - which is where you really want to be (not watching tv). Yep, set the DVR, record those shows and get yourself to the Y. Besides it isn't raining in the Y AND you can get in the whirlpool after! You may even be inspired by someone!
