Dear beloved friends I am not dead,
just "busier than a cranberry peddler", (one of my grandmother's and mother' favorite sayings).
Mother's Day brought a lot of sweet memories. Sweet memories sure fill one up. One in particular was of my wonderful Grandmother who had such unconditional love for me.
She enjoyed collecting all kinds of poems that she added to a scrapbook she kept. One of those inspiring poems was my favorite I will never forgot..
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're traveling seems all uphill;
When the funds are low and the debts are high--
When you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit:
Rest if you must, but don't you quit!
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won--had he stuck it out!
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow!
Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tints of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are--
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit:
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit!
I loved this video I watched today too, entitled "Good things to come". I couldn't get my link access to work so just copy and paste it in your address bar.
