How can it be 4 days later already?

Monday, May 12, 2014

Time is flying and I don't seem to be doing too much, but look already 4 days later.

Went to town on Friday and to knitting club. Sat.... sat around and watched some movies.... got totally incensed with an old movie with Shirley Jones in it, a Rodgers and Hammerstein movie called "Carousel"... when he invited the young woman to meet him and she did and he said to her, "HOly Smokes, You're dumb!", it got my ire up, when a bit later, he hit her and everyone knew it and he said he didn't beat her, just hit her...... I lost it and didn't watch anymore. No wonder the old attitudes were the way they were with that kind of media proliferation of violence against women as acceptable.

Friend stopped over for a bit in the evening, and I made us a smoothie.

Sunday, went to church and then to Value Village preview of their 50% sale and had a great time, bought 32 things and only spent $50.... some stuff for new baby, all washed up and ready to deliver now and then summer tanks for walking.... 7 more days till I get this cast off... counting the minutes...

Went to class today..very long lecture and a movie too...very interesting and thought-provoking, but he piled a lot more work on us, we're going to be very busy...

Hope everyone had a great mother's day..

Never saw "Carousel" all the way through. The music got on my nerves.,,I think that the story would make me irritated too.

Give me The Sound of Music...........such a softy... emoticon

Carousel is one of the few old musicals that I don't care for either. I can't stand how he treats her and she still loves him.

Great walk! Good luck with your class.
