had a great mother's day yesterday with my mom and my daughter. my daughter got me a beautiful calendar and made a few things for me,too, at school. i enjoy spending time with her as much as possible. i will be making another trip this week to see her. this time, though, she does not know which day i will be coming. it will be a surprise to her. she showed me the big library book she is now reading. so when i was there, we went to the library. she wanted to either get or reserve a book in the same series as the big one she is now reading. we were able to find a copy of the book she wanted in the library. so she checked it out and then we went to a different area of the library to spend some time together. she is growing up before my eyes. every year, the library has a summer reading club and she eagerly signs up for it. she gets a sticker on her library card that enables her to take the local transit for free for a month at a time. the reading club goes from the beginning of july and august. now i am looking for an adult one that i can join this summer. i know i will find one. soccer will be starting up for her on the tuesday after the long weekend here. she still wants to keep up with her swimming class, too, as it is offered before the soccer starts and it is not too far from where she will be going for soccer. i always make sure to go to the fun day that the soccer club has in august, once soccer is done for the summer. i am starting to save up so if she wants to take part in indoor soccer in the fall, she will be able to. i encourage her to be active and to make tasty, filling food choices. the other day, she was craving an apple. so some change was put together so she could get one from the corner store, which sells single apples and bananas. all of the birds are doing well and say hi. have a terrific day, everyone!
