A maddening day !!!

Sunday, May 11, 2014

Last night I was told that my Hubby would be sent to a rehab... So I went there & waited 5 hours until I was told that I should be at home or at the hospital. - 5 HOURS later !!!!!
I went home & called the hospital.i was told that he was being discharged HOME. I practically took wings to go pick him up. He was anxious to go Home but we had to wait for an orderly to bring him down in a wheelchair. We waited almost an hour. In the meantime - a nurse came in & gave him a pill - that put him into a CATATONIC STATE. They had to call Ina special team of doctors -about 10 !!!! & nurses, etc. who worked frantically to bring him out of that terrifying state.

I have Never been so Terrified in my life. I stepped away to check on the man with the wheelchair. But when I returned I thought Ed had had a stroke or died. Needless to say he couldn't come Home. I am beyond upset. When will this nightmare end ?!?!?!

I am so sorry; obviously someone at that hospital screwed up in a major way! I hope you can get to the bottom of it so that it does not happen again. You are both in my prayers. emoticon

That lack of communication is horrible - especially in terms of where your hubby was to be discharged to - the thought of you running around almost in circles, with inaccurate info at that - yikes! Not good for anyone in such a stressful situation!

Sounds like some folks at that hospital need a good ol'-fashioned "talking to" - *STAT*! I really hope that changes are made so that this NEVER happens to anyone else!
