Without Tracking and Nephew's Race Report

Saturday, May 10, 2014

I'm back down below my goal weight without tracking!! WooHoo! Just cutting back worked for me probably for the first time in my life. Hope to keep it up.

Ran almost 6 miles this morning with my Galloway running group. Volunteered for the Mayfaire 5K this eve and worked a food booth. My niece and nephew both ran. Their mom and grandmother (my mom) were there to see them. My nephew's chip time is probably a PR (under 37 minutes) for a really hot and hilly race. His chip time will be published tomorrow. I'm proud of them both. Glad I could be there.

When my mom last saw Martin he weighed 50 more pounds. She could not get over how good he looks. She's proud of him, too.

Next race for all 3 of us is June 7th, the Sunrise Watermelon 5K. Bet my nephew will do really well with a flatter, cooler race. And my niece and I'll enjoy it, too.

Wonderful to have family running partners! My Sister and I have walked in the Free Press 5K and the Race for the Cure and it was a wonderful way to connect with each other while focusing on fitness.

Congrats to your nephew on his 50 pound loss!
