Shoulder update :)

Saturday, May 10, 2014

Wow, it has been a while since I blogged.....a lot has been happening......

1. I went to see the orthopedic doctor for my shoulder, I have not been able to work out with my trainer because of that and some back issues that I had been having. Anyhow I had had X-rays and MRI which then led to this referral. They had said I had arthritis, but he says he does not see any, and if I do it would be very mild! Praise God! I was worried I was going to need surgery, but again, Praise God, I do not!! He made me push through the pain for his assessment - ouch! But he thinks I have bursitis and gave me a shot, it still hurts some, but he gave me exercises to do, I need physio as I have lost some movement while I was babying it :( and I can work out with my trainer :) they only restriction for her is no overhead exercises or weights. I go back to see him in May 30th.

2. I have joined a co-worker and rejoined weight watchers. On Mondays I get weighed in! Last week I was down 3 pounds on their scales. Hoping and working for a loss next week too, I had my birthday yesterday and Mother's Day tomorrow, but I am trying to pay attention to what I am having. Today is the annual Ladies Tea at my church, I already weighed for this weeks spring challenge :)

3. Some of you may be aware that I am in school for my RN-BSN-MSN degrees. I am now in my last class for my bachelors and have had my preliminary interview to enter for my masters. They said that they would be recommending me for the masters, have some papers etc to fill out first. Hopeful that I will begin on my masters in July.

4. You know that I travel a long distance to work and stay away for the working week, well yesterday my daughter interviewed to a nanny agency and they have a family that are not far from where I am living for her! They were going to contact her references and employers as well as a background check first. I would covet your prayers for her at this time. I would love to have her closer :) I know she is growing up :)

Wishing you all a happy Mother's Day for tomorrow!

Wow--lots of good news!! I am glad the shoulder is getting better and very glad that you can work with the trainer again. Great for Weight Watchers, better for finishing the BS and FANTASTIC for the start of the MSN programs! But--best news is maybe having daughter close by during the week! Let's hope so!!
