Had a couple of appointments this morning. First my pulmonary (breathing) test and then to see the specialist Dr. Lawton. Everything was great with my test and he is keeping me on the Dulara Inhaler (which I get samples from him free, told me to come back anytime I need some more if I run out b/4 my next appointment). Saves me $140, which is what the Symbiacort had cost me. They did the normal BP and weight. I was in shock when my weigh showed 195 lb. and I excited to say the least.
I go back to see him in 6 months just for a check up, I do the breathing test yearly.
After that I had the Pro-Time clinic to check to see if any changes were needed for my blood thinners and everything was good, so I go back in about a month. Was jazzed about that also.
Got back home around 11:15 am and headed out for my morning walk a bit late but done not the less. It wasn't too warm or cool, and there was a nice breeze. Also took Phred for a nice afternoon walk. Once again got over 10,000 steps and feeling good about myself again.
Today my friend Irene's husband got out of the hospital. It has been close to a month after complications for his cancer surgery. Today is also his birthday, which makes it doubly good. She has taken a month off from her regular job to stay at home. She is so lucky because she has nurses aide credentials and this does make it a bit easier for her. I am here to help in any way and she has a couple of others from her nursing class who said they would come and help, if and when she needs a break. Also good is the type of insurance her husband has and will pay her to take a medical leave for a family care. How cool is that?
Ok I know this weekend is Mothers Day. Won't be doing much but the normal routine. so wishing all my friends who are mothers, step mothers, mothers in law, want a be mothers a great day!
